Meditation is a state of focused attention that leads to a clearer awareness of our reality. It is viewed by many to be the key to spiritual growth, as it is a pathway to higher consciousness through which you can transcend the personality-self into full realization of the Greater You. Various techniques may be used including guided visualization, closely observing the breath, repeating mantras, etc. The deep relaxation that results heals the body, clears the mind, releases stress, and creates inner peace.
